Raw Materials Procurement
Our main raw material is granite and we have a policy of raw material replenishment that ensures that any point we have the right materials for any kind of job or order that might arise. We buy our granite stones mainly from our South African suppliers, Omaruru as well as Karibib Marble crush.
We have well established relationships with our suppliers such that should we need any materials urgently, they address our needs with prompt response. Most of the stones that we buy will be cut and polished already such that it becomes easy for us to work on them and be able to deliver orders on time. Other materials include reinforced steel and roller bars, reinforced mesh steel and lipped channel for the making of top seals to reinforce the cover of the grave.
Our biggest challenge of late was the shortages of cement which not only affected us but the whole construction industry. Even though such unforeseen stumbling blocks are common in business, we always put maximum efforts to make do with what will be available so that work moves ahead and our clients are not affected.
